Here's a brief idea of what it takes to install some of our products. If you've got any more questions feel free to ask us!
Digital Satellite Radio - Plug and play satellite radio hardware is among the easiest of accessories to install. Generally, it does not require any disassembly of the vehicle's interior or wiring connections.
Fog/Driving Lights - Generally these are not a difficult installation. Minimal drilling and wiring are required for installation.
LED/Neon Lights - These vary by specific type; most interior LED/neon lights can be plugged into a cigarette lighter outlet or wired to the vehicle. External lights require wiring hookups inside the vehicle.
Head Units - On most vehicles replacing the radio is not a difficult task. Basic hand tools are required, and some degree of dash disassembly is necessary; a dash kit, wiring harness, and/or antenna adaptor are usually required. Vehicles equipped with premium sound systems, integrated cellular phones(where the phone is built into the vehicle), and telematic systems such as OnStar tend to be more difficult to upgrade a factory radio; however, the aftermarket radio industry is well aware of these issues and develops appropriate hardware to overcome them. CD Changers - These require removal and installation of the existing radio in all cases, as well as drilling sometimes. Antenna adaptors may be required depending on the vehicle.
Factory Speaker Upgrades - The difficulty of replacing speakers depends on the vehicle. On some cars the interior or door panels need to be removed. Wiring is generally straightforward, but this can also vary depending on make and model.
Amplifiers/Subwoofers - Amp installations generally require drilling, removing many interior pieces, and removing the existing radio, as well as extensive wiring.
Mobile Video - Extensive wiring is involved, as well as sometimes cutting the ceiling or headrests of the vehicle. Due to these challenges we strongly recommend professional installation.
Alarms, Remote Starts, and Keyless Entry - Professional installation is recommended on these products. There are many wiring connections to be made in multiple locations on the vehicle; alarm hardware needs to be properly concealed and camouflaged for effectiveness.
